In the
effort to realize the organization’s vision, YDA has and is still conducting
advocacy activities in Central Java, West Java, West Kalimantan, Riau, Nusa
Tenggara and Bengkulu, with the following components:

Participatory research with farmers regarding seed,
fertilizer, pesticide, agricultural credit, etc.
q
Review of public policies related to farmers’
problems.
q
Participatory monitoring on agricultural project
funded by foreign loan, particularly World Bank.
q
Participatory monitoring of farmer credit programs
(Kredit Usaha Tani/Micro Credit for
Farmers, Kredit Ketahanan Pangan/Food
Security Credit).
q
Training in participatory advocacy.
q
Training in participatory monitoring and
evaluation.
q
Farmers assistance in local advocacy.
q
Dissemination of information regarding farmers’
problem in the form of publications and articles in the media.
